Tuition and Financial Aid

This may surprise you, but most families pay less than the full price and many pay no tuition at all. We offer an array of housing options and meal plans — as well as financial aid for housing — so you have flexibility as to how much you pay.

Beginning fall 2022, University of California (UC) tuition for each incoming undergraduate class will remain flat until the student graduates, for up to six years. Known as the UC Tuition Stability Plan, this plan provides unprecedented predictability for families in helping to manage their educational costs. By minimizing unexpected increases in tuition and reducing uncertainty about the cost of their education, students and families are able to better calculate and plan for the costs of attending UCLA. In addition, we offer payment plans for tuition and housing so families can make smaller, regular payments throughout the year instead of larger, lump-sum payments.

Some or all instruction for all or part of the academic year may be delivered remotely. Tuition and fees have been set regardless of the method of instruction and will not be refunded in the event instruction occurs remotely for any part of the academic year.

Figures for tuition and fees represent currently approved or proposed amounts and may not be final. Actual tuition and fees are subject to change by the University of California as determined to be necessary or appropriate. Final approved tuition and fee levels may differ from the amounts presented.
